Cadillac Fabrication also offers abrasive blasting and finishing services along with our fabrication work. We can prepare and paint your project to your specifications utilizing many different coating systems. Being able to finish our projects in-house reduces time and cost to customers by providing a one-stop shopping experience. From design and fabrication to finishing and shipping, we provide everything needed to complete your project on-time and on-budget.

Another service our finishing department offers is fleet refinishing and equipment refinishing. Our 60’ enclosed blasting room and 70’ Colmet baking booth allow us to handle the largest equipment and trucks easily. Abrasive blasting and refinishing is an economical alternative to replacing your valuable equipment.

Our finishing professionals are knowledgeable in coatings ranging from alkyds and urethanes to high-performance coating like high-solids epoxies and polyaspartics. We are familiar with and adhere to SSPC specifications for surface preparation and good painting practices.

Finishing Projects

USS Theodore Roosevelt Ramp

This ramp was manufactured by our affiliate company, Yard King, to allow access to the ships elevator during a major overhaul and re-fueling of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt. Because of its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, a system of epoxies and aliphatic urethane was selected to protect the ramp for years to come.

Ship Section Support Stands

These "Double Eagle" stands were fabricated for Northrop Grumman Corporation for supporting ship modules during construction. Due to the salt air and water encountered at the shipyard, these stands were abrasive blasted to SP6 and coated with an inorganic zinc primer followed by an aliphatic urethane top-coat.

Keller Cooker

This line of custom smokers highlights our capability to finish products no matter how large or small they are. Our finishing department utilized high temperature coatings on this project to withstand the intense heat encountered during the smoking process.

Cad Fab Custom Yacht Trailer

Cadillac Fabrication manufactures a line of specialized, over-the-road trailers for the marine transport industry. All our trailers are abrasive blasted and coated with epoxy primers and DuPont Imron polyurethane top-coat to provide the ultimate in protection for your investment.

Structural Steel

This huge order of structural steel weighed in at almost 325,000 pounds. The customer on this project specified hand-tool cleaning and a coating system consisting of an air-dry alkyd primer followed by 2 coats of high-gloss industrial alkyd enamel.
